Last night, I had the priveledge to attend the Annual Bristol Tramps Sports Awards Dinner held at the Clarion Hotel. It was wonderful seeing so many familiar faces, past coaches, teachers, former teammates and friends. I was lucky enough to sit at the head table, which I know I owe many thanks to the late Anthony Savino for. It is to my disappointment that I did not have one more oportunity to sit next to him as every Miss Bristol has before. Tony was missed tremendously last evening, but he was anything but forgotten. His everlasting pleasant attitude and willingness to help those in need was an attribute that ALL remember him by, and a quality I hope we all, as a whole strive for each and every day.
With that being said, the recipients of the awards and scholarships were truly deserving. Many of the recipients I have a personal relationship with, whether once being my teacher, principal, vice-principal or coach! Many of the attendees made such an impact in my life, and truly helped me become a better person. It is my dream that I can one day help change theirs. The scholarship recipients were so eloquently spoken, each of whom will have wonderful futures. One of the winners is even attending Notre Dame next year!!! For those of you who do now know, Notre Dame is my all-time dream school :) Once again, congratulations to all the winners and it was such an honor to be in the same room with some of Bristol's finest.
Never forget to follow your dreams, and Never EVER let anyone tell you that you are not good enough, because dreams come from within!
